Marina Kim, DO, is a gastroenterologist subspecializing in interventional endoscopic procedures with a special interest in Third Space Endoscopy. After practicing for a couple of years, Dr. Kim traveled to Japan to complete an additional training program in ESD and Magnifying Endoscopy. Her specialties include pancreatic disease, biliary tract disease, pre-cancerous and cancerous lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, surgical endoscopy and endoscopic management of obesity and GERD. Dr. Kim performs advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM), endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), endoluminal stent placement, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), complex polypectomy, and endoscopic treatment of obesity with intragastric balloon placement and endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG). Dr. Kim’ clinical and research interests include device innovation and minimally invasive endoscopic procedures, focusing on improving the safety profile and effectiveness of treatment for patients. She is dedicated to her community and committed to teaching and research. Her research has been presented at national and international conferences, received awards, and been published in numerous high-impact journals.
