Charles Kahi, MD, MSc, FACG, is Professor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. His clinical and research interests are colorectal cancer prevention, colonoscopy quality assessment and improvement, and colorectal neoplasia. Dr Kahi received his MD from the American University of Beirut Medical School in Lebanon in 1996. He subsequently completed a Residency in Internal Medicine, then a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Indiana University Medical Center. He holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Research from Indiana University. He has maintained continuous research funding since 2005 from the National Cancer Institute, GI professional societies, and Department of Veterans Affairs including VA Merit Review Grants. Since 2004, Dr. Kahi has been an active member of the IU faculty, and is involved in direct patient care, teaching, research, and administration. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief for Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, the clinical practice journal of the American Gastroenterological Association.
