Uzma Siddiqui, MD, FACG, is a Professor of Medicine and the Director of the Center for Endoscopic Research and Therapeutics (CERT) at the University of Chicago. She also serves as the Program Director for the Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship Program. Her clinical practice is centered on interventional endoscopy procedures related to pancreaticobiliary disease and gastrointestinal oncology (EUS, ERCP, EMR, ESD). A dedicated educator and mentor, Dr. Siddiqui has directed or served as faculty for many endoscopy courses around the country and internationally. She has received multiple awards including the 2019 Helio Woman Disruptor of the Year and 2023 ASGE Master Endoscopist. Dr. Siddiqui has served on multiple national society committees, including the ASGE’s Advanced Endoscopy Committee, ACG’s Women’s Committee, and Co-Chairing the AGA’s Duodenoscope Innovation Program. She is a founding member and Vice-President of the global organization Women in Endoscopy (WIE).
