Sean Bhalla, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he serves as Director of Advanced Endoscopy. Dr. Bhalla received his medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. He went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at Harvard’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. Following residency training Dr. Bhalla completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, where he served as a chief fellow. He completed an additional fellowship in Advanced/Therapeutic Endoscopy at the University of Michigan. Dr. Bhalla’s clinical interests include management of benign and malignant pancreaticobiliary disease, ERCP in patients with surgically altered anatomy, therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic resection of large complex colorectal polyps and endoscopic management of bariatric surgery complications. Dr. Bhalla has a keen interest in EUS-guided therapeutic interventions to allow for creative problem solving to improve the quality of life for his patients.
