Norah Terrault, MD, MPH, FACG, is a transplant hepatologist, the Neil Kaplowitz Professor of Medicine, and Chief of Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases Division at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California and served as the 2023 AASLD President. Dr. Terrault has focused her clinical and research activities on viral hepatitis and steatotic liver disease. In addition to multiple clinical trials related to preventing and treating chronic hepatitis viral hepatitis and fatty liver, Dr. Terrault has been PI on multiple NIH-funded studies, including the current NIH-supported nonalcoholic steatohepatitis clinical research network (NASH CRN), the Liver Cirrhosis Network (LCN) and the American Consortium of Early Liver Transplantatio (ACCELERATE). She has authored over 400 peer-reviewed manuscripts, editorials, invited reviews as well as US national guidelines for treatment of chronic hepatitis B and C and reproductive health.
