Anne Marie Lennon, MD, PhD, FACG, is a Professor of Medicine and Chair of the Department of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Lennon recieved her medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and a PhD from University College Dublin. She completed her residency at the Mater Hospital, Dublin and the Cleveland Clinic, followed by a Gastroenterology Fellowship in Edinburgh, U.K., and Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Johns Hopkins. She joined the faculty at Johns Hopkins in 2010, and the University of Pittsburgh/UPMC in 2024. Dr. Lennon's research centers on pre-cancerous lesions of the pancreas, early cancer detection, and translating these technologies into clinical practice. She is the author of over 180 peer-reviewed papers, book chapters, editorials and review articles, and is a Fellow of the ACG, ASGE, and AGA.
