Pooja Singhal, MD, FACG, is a board-certified gastroenterologist. She completed her medical school training at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Dr. Singhal received her IM residency and GI fellowship training at the Georgetown University Hospital, where she was selected both as a Chief Resident and a Chief Gastroenterology Fellow. Dr. Singhal's clinical training and interests include General Gastroenterology, Women's Digestive Diseases, and Gastrometabolic scope of practice. Dr. Singhal is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine as well. Dr. Singhal has been practicing Gastroenterology for 13 years, during which she has performed over 13,000 endoscopic procedures. After practicing at one of the largest community hospitals for 8 years and successfully developing their Women's Digestive Diseases program, Dr. Singhal founded Oklahoma Gastro Health and Wellness Center. She has been a fierce advocate for Women's Health, Prevention of physician burnout, and community education. She has spoken nationally and internationally on topics such as Colorectal Cancer prevention, IBD, Gut health and Wellness, Private practice, and Women's Digestive diseases. Dr. Singhal has received several awards and honors, including National SCOPY awards consecutively from 2016 to 2019 and then again in 2024 for raising Colon cancer awareness in Oklahoma. She currently serves as the first female ACG Governor of the state of Oklahoma. She was honored with the Journal Record's 40 under 40 young professionals award and recognized in Oklahoma City magazine for the 40 most influential professionals in OKC.
