Nazia Hasan, MD, MPH, is the Director of Pancreaticobiliary Endoscopy at California Pacific Medical Center and an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at University of California, San Francisco VA Hospital. After completing her Therapeutic Endoscopy fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, she established a regional referral center for Interventional Endoscopy at NorthBay Health, in Fairfield, California, where she served as the Director of Interventional Endoscopy for several years. She subsequently joined the Interventional Endoscopy group at California Pacific Medical Center and serves as faculty at the University of California, San Francisco/ San Francisco VA Medical Center. Dr. Hasan's clinical and research interests include gastrointestinal oncology, radiation safety in endoscopy and device innovation. She has co-authored the ASGE Guidelines for Radiation Safety in Endoscopy and is deeply involved with ACG and ASGE education serving as faculty for several didactic and hands on courses. She is also currently serving on the ASGE Research committee and is a peer reviewer for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
