Nasim Parsa, MD, is a practicing gastroenterologist specializing in the esophageal disorders. She is the VP of Medical Affairs at Satisfai Health, a physician-led company utilizing AI & allied technologies to deliver precision medicine for disease detection, diagnosis & treatment across the entire GI tract. Through her work as a researcher, she has carried out numerous scientific studies with several world-renowned physicians & has published extensively with over 50 peer-reviewed publications & over 50 abstracts presented at national & international meetings. Particularly in the field of Medical AI, she has a continuous presence on the podiums & has been invited as a speaker, moderator, & organizer for several national and international symposiums. She is the co-editor of the Textbook “AI in Clinical Medicine: A Practical Guide for Healthcare Professionals”, a reference book for the emerging and exciting use of AI throughout clinical medicine & the lead editor of the Special Collection of Therapeutic Advances in Gastroenterology: The Rise of AI in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Currently, she is acting as PI & Co-PI for multiple multicenter international medical AI projects and is supervising a PhD student for his PhD thesis project entitled Exploring AI-driven Methods in the Management of IBD using intestinal ultrasound (UKRI Center for Doctoral Training, transforming cancer diagnosis & care through the application of AI). Dr. Parsa is committed to serving her profession & is currently serving on several committees including the Educational Affair Committee for ACG & Education Committee for the International Society for the Disease of the Esophagus. She is passionate about improving patient outcomes & physician performance through cutting-edge technology and the safe adoption of AI in clinical practice. At Satisfai Health, she leads the continued development and execution of clinical and research strategy.
