Darrell Pardi, MD, MS, FACG, is Chair of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Professor of Medicine, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. Dr. Pardi earned his MD at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, where he also completed a residency and served as chief medical resident. He continued his training at Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education, completing a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology, at which time he joined the staff at Mayo Rochester. Dr. Pardi subsequently earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical and Translational Science from Mayo. He previously served as Program Director of the GI fellowship and then Senior Associate Dean at the Mayo School of GME. Dr. Pardi’s research focuses on the clinical features, epidemiology, and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (especially microscopic colitis and pouchitis) and C. difficile infection.
