Linda A. Feagins, MD, FACG, is the Director of the Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Professor of Medicine at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Feagins received a bachelors degree in biomedical engineering from Vanderbilt University prior to attending medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She then trained in internal medicine followed by fellowship in gastroenterology at The University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. Prior to joining the faculty at Dell Med, she was faculty at UT Southwestern from 2008 to 2019 where she was also the director of the inflammatory bowel disease program at the VA North Texas Healthcare System. Research interests include improving care for patients with IBD and preventing post-polypectomy bleeding during colonoscopy. A current research focus is understanding the role of diet in managing IBD.
